Rafting base at Struma river

The Rafting is becoming more popular nowadays. As a sport, attraction or just team-building, more and more people want to rafting with their friends or colleagues.

In Bulgaria there are several rivers that are suitable for this attraction, one of which is Struma River.

Rafting.bg is one of the few companies having their own base at Struma riverside. The base is located on the road Blagoevgrad - Kulata after town of Simitli, there is a turnoff in right to Brezhani village. Continue to main road - there is a bridge over the road. A few meters after the bridge there is a detour to the right and sign "rafting.bg".

Suitable season for rafting at Struma is spring and early summer, when the river is neither shallow or very deep and turbulent. The company offers two routes with an approximate length of 12 km (about 2 hours rafting). The one of them is relatively easier (ie. Family route) and is suitable for beginners and children, while the main rout line is what everyone imagines when hears "rafting".

Depending on the chosen route the start is from the the base (for main route) and after finish there is transported back to the base, while the "Family" route starting upriver and finish near the base. There are all needed equipment - helmet, neoprene, lifejacket, jacket, neoprene shoes (disinfected after usage).
