The first and only one in the world memorial of the envy is located in the town of Haskovo. It is named "Memorial of the Envy - the Bulgarian Icarus" and was inaugurated on September 8, 2014. It was built entirely from donations and is a work of the local artist Gospodin Tanev - Guspata, author also of other art compositions in the town - sculptures of Baba Yaga, the owl in front of the Municipality building, the figures on the Orange bridge, monument of the artist Litso, etc.
The statue of envy represents a human figure, outspread his arms with wings of feathers, in a failed attempt to fly because two skeletal hands gripping his wings and pull it down ...
The sculpture is made in bronze. Its height is 3 meters and weight - 1 ton. It is placed on a massive granite pedestal.
