The bell-tower in the town of Byala Cherkva (means White Church) is one of the many cultural sights of the town. It is located in the center of Byala Cherkwa, near the old church of St. Dimitar.
The bell is a memorial built in 1878 in honor of the Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman rule and in honor of the Russian troops participating in it. On 6 July (24 June old style) 1877 the front-end detachment of the general Gurko enters the town of Byala Church. The russian troops were officially welcomed by the population. With funds donated by Russian officers, starts a process for money collecting for the construction of the monument.
The bell tower is 25 meters high. In 1929 there was installed a clock which is working today. The clock is supplied with funds from the teacher Yoakim Vasilev.
