The church "Voznesenie Christovo" ("Church of Ascension") in the village of Shipkovo was built by local masters and masters from the Tryavna Art School. It is built of stone without a dome and cross on the roof.
The church has icons by Zachary Zograph, by different masters from Tryavna school and by by the local master Pentcho x. Naydenov. The oldest icon there dating from 1770.
In church "Ascension" is kept an old book (1806) by Sophronius Vratsanski - Nedelnik
