According to a legend, there was a large church in village of Dragushinovo that was bear away by the flood waters of the Iskar river. Left without a church the local people decided to build a new one and so, in the middle of the XIXth century (1869), during several years, has been built the current church, named after the St Theodore (revered as a Saint of the village).
