The Burgas Mineral Baths "The spring of the three nymphs" (known in the past as Aqua Kalide and Termopolis) has been known for more than 2500 years for its healing properties. Evidence of this are remains of ancient and medieval town found around and a Thracian sanctuary "Sanctuary of the three nymphs" - patroness of the spring.
In the healing waters of the springs have showered many celebrities and rulers, among which supposedly was Philip II of Macedonia - king of ancient Macedonia and father of Alexander the Macedonian.
Mineral water near Bourgas is characterized as "soft" and is clear, with very good drinking and taste qualities. The water is hot (temperature of 41C degrees), slightly mineralized, moderately fluoric.
The water is salutary for treatment of diseases such as rheumatism, infertility, gout, neuralgia.
