Every Saturday (except the winter months) in town of Kostenets is held a big Saturday open-air market and bitak (a market for cheep manufactured goods and trinkets) where producers, traders and artisans from the region sell their goods. The market starts morning around 9 o`clock and continues till 2-3 pm, although some of the traders close their stands later.
The market for industrial goods is located in the city center - near the taxi parking and the central railway station. Here, at tables, tents, stalls, and even directly from luggage-carriers of the cars, are offered various products as imported from China and Turkey, clothes, jeans, shoes, technics (including black and white) to produced by the local craftsmen agricultural tools.
The vegetable market (about 150 meters away of the bitak) is also full of stalls where are offered traditional fruits and vegetables grown in the region. There are also flowers, seedlings, plants, fruit trees, home-made milk, white cheese, bacon, pickles and more.
