The National Palace of Culture (Natsionalen Dvorets na Kulturata or for short NDK) is in the centre of Sofia and has a marvelous view at Vitosha Mountain. This is the largest multifunctional complex in Bulgaria and in South-Eastern Europe. Because of its central and easy location and of fact there are lots buses, trolley-buses and trams that connect the Palace with every part of the city, it is a reference and meeting point of many people who are non-familiar with the city.
The complex was launched in 1981 and from then it is a place where lots of cultural, business and congress events are held. There are also shops, a cinema, cafe-shops, galleries and more.
