Georgi Asparuhov (aka Gundi) and Nikola Kotkov are great Bulgarian footballers who on June 30, 1971 died tragically in a car accident near Vitinya Pass in the Stara Planina Mountain. Near the place of their death was erected a memorial plaque in their honor.
