One of the attractions that can be visited in the village of Mursalevo is the ostrich farm Gerena. It is located on Highway E-79 in the village, 80 km south of Sofia and 15 km north of Blagoevgrad. The location is very convenient for travelers to or from Greece, as well as tourists visiting the Rila Monastery, Melnik and Bansko.
In the Ostrich farm the tourists can see the beautiful ostriches, to become familiar with conditions of their cultivation, to buy ostrich feathers or eggs. Besides the two adults and a dozen young ostriches in the farm are grown and can be seen other birds as tokachki, Koprinki, pheasants and kachulatki.
To the farm operates a restaurant where visitors can enjoy special dishes like soup with ostrich meat, omelet and desserts from ostrich eggs, etc.
