The Chapel of the Holy Virgin ("Sveta Bogoroditsa") in the area of Peikovo is located 8 km northwest of the town of Malko Turnovo, near the road Malko Turnovo - Burgas. It is surrounded by old trees and a spring which is believed to be curative (ayazmo).
There is a legend about the origin of the chapel: A woman from Malko Tarnovo, mother of 6 children, was seriously ill. She had dreamed the Virgin Mary who pointed the place where the sick woman should be referred to restore her health - the spring in Peykova area. The Relatives brought her to the place, coated her with mud from the spring and the woman came through the illness. Then, the family built this chapel dedicated to St. Mother at same place.
