The Festival Strandja singing is held for the first time in 1960 in the village of Gramatikovo. This began the tradition of the national folk festivals in Bulgaria. It is held every 4 years and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria, aiming to promote the rich songs of Strandja region. Participanst in the festival are also songs from the regions of Sakar and Eastern Thrace.

The festival was discontinued for a while and resumed again in 1995 by Malko Turnovo municipality.
