The ostrich farm "Krasiostrich" is part of a complex "Rancho Krasi". The complex is located in the "Belite kamani" locality, near the village of Startsevo (municipality Zlatograd). The farm was established in 2002 and is one of the oldest tribal ostrich farm in Bulgaria. Here are breeding ostriches for meat, eggs, feathers and furs, and for reproduction. The farm has its own incubator and hatchery.
The "Krasi" farm operates as a tourist site and is open for visits everyday including weekends and public holidays. Besides ostriches, here visitors can see and learn about the life and the farming of some other species rare animals, such as horses, rabbits, cats, guinea pigs and others.
To the farm operates a small "Museum of the ostrich," where guests could find a wide variety of interesting ideas for the usage of various products obtained from the ostriches. Some of the exhibits can be bought as souvenirs.
