<< 1 / 3 >> History museum In Bulgarian: Исторически музей Category: Museum Location: Asenovgrad Longtitude: 24.87428069 Latitude: 42.00650395 The Historical Museum in Asenovgrad was opened on 9.IX.1955. It is the successor of the museum collection created by the Archaeological Society "Svarog" (1926) in the school building. Since 1971, the museum is located in a building (former Military Club) in the town center, built in 1898 and renovated specifically for the needs of the museum. In the museum are shown exhibits which trace the history of the region from ancient times until today. The exhibitions are divided into four main sections: Archaeology, Ethnography, History, XV-XIX century, Modern and Contemporary History. Address of Asenovgrad History Museum: 1, "Academician N.
