The remains of the Late-antique and medieval fortress"Gradishteto kyunka" (aka "Litopolis" or "Kamengrad") are located about 1.5 km west of town of Vetren (municipality of Septemvri). It was built on on a self-dependent, not-high (542 m) hill with gentle slopes ("Gradishteto").
The fortress has a double wall with distance between them 10-12 meters. It is assumed that both walls are built in different periods - the internal is from the Late-antiquity and the external is from the Middle ages. The external wall (1.8m wide) was made of crushed stone, bound with white plaster while the internal (1.5m wide) is made by crushed stone, bound with red mortar.
North of the citadel was discovered a pipe which is supposed is part of the conduit of the fortress. Hence the name of the fortress "In kyunka" (from Bulgarian "kyunets" - tube).
Not far away were discovered an old German cemetery where, probably were buried crusaders.
