Centuries-old Oak (Quercus petraea sesiliflora) In Bulgarian: Вековно дърво (Зимен дъб) Category: Parks & Gardens Location: Benkovski In the courtyard of the mosque of the village Benkovski (municipality Kirkovo) growс а very old (over 200 years-old) tree - an Oak, species of Quercus petraea sesiliflora. Some time ago the trees were 2 but one them was withered. The circumference of the tree trunk is about 4 meters. The Ancient oak in Benkovski village was declared a protected natural site in 1975.
