Statue of the Holy Mother of God, Haskovo

This Statue of the Holy Mother of God is situated in town of Haskovo. It is dedicated to Mary - the mother of Jesus. The monument was unveiled at 8 September 2003.

The monument is 31 meters in height (the statue itself is 14m + piedestal) and is included in the Guinness Book of World Records (edition 2004) as the tallest statue of the Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus in the world.
