Pero Hertsegovinetsa (real name Petar Spasov Simeonov) was one of the leaders in the Botev detachment that, in 1876 enter in Bulgaria from Romania to fight for Liberation of Bulgaria. Pero Hertsegovinetsa is killed on May 21, 1876 in a firefight with the Circassians.
