The Karst canyon Chernelka is located in the central part of the Danube plain, north-west of village of Gortalovo, some 12 km away from town of Pleven. The canyon is 60 to 200 m wide, and height of the rocks is from 10 to 40 m. It stretches for 6.5 km along the river Chernelka. In the region was open a eco-track with 18 bridges that allows easy crossing of the river while the tourists can enjoy of the magnificence of the nature - majestic cliffs, caves, karst springs, diverse plant and animal species. There can be viewed of over 200 kinds of birds, 9 species of fish and lots of reptiles.
