National Maritime Museum (Naval museum) is situated in the Sea Garden of Varna city, near the center of the town and the railway station. It was established in 1923. The museum shows the history of the Bulgarian navy from its foundation in 1879 to present.
The indoor exhibition occupies an area of 360 square meters and includes pictures, documents, original ship remains like ancient anchors, figure-heads, sailor`s and officer`s uniforms, scale models, flags, collections of mines, cannons, etc. There is situated also the legendary Bulgarian Torpedo Boat "Druzki".
