The museum exhibition "Crossing of the Russian troops in 1877" is a part of the Historical Museum of Svishtov. It is located 4 km. east of the town, next to the Roman military camp.
Visitors of the exhibition can see photos, graphics, pictures and reproductions made by Russian artists and related to the actions of the Russian army in the Russo-Turkish war as the preparation and crossing of the Danube and the following march of Russian troops in the Bulgarian lands. That act makes Svishtov to be the first Bulgarien town liberated during the Russo-Turkish War, 1877-78.
