The cave Orloja Chuka (means Eagle rocky peak) is located on the left bank of Cherni Lom river, near the village of Pepelina, Rousse district. It is the second longest cave in Bulgaria (13,438 meters) and is a complex maze of of interweaving galleries, tunnels, abysses, big and small halls. The cave was discovered accidentally in 1941. Its name comes from the rock eagles that inhabit the nests in the rocks near the cave.

In the cave were found skeletons of two huge cave bears and objects - remains of human activities as: spear points. parts of clay vessels, some stone tools and others. This makes scientists believe that the part of the cave near its entrance was inhabited by man in the stone age.

In 1963, Orlova Chuka cave was declared a natural landmark.
